Freshwater Academy is a week-long camp that gives high school students the opportunity for hands-on experience and fieldwork in Northwestern Pennsylvania's waterways. Students spend their days studying biology and freshwater ecology at a level they can't achieve in the classroom. They will get wet, they will get dirty, and they will love it!

Green Allegheny
Today, we went on a Green Allegheny scavenger hunt around the campus. Our tour guide showed us the green roof that is on campus, gave us facts on the type of wood that they used, and explained how they can use rain water to water plants. Allegheny is doing a lot to take care of the environment and keep the campus eco-friendly.

Green roofs are so cool. Glad Allegheny College is willing to take the initiative.
I hope to see the green roof when I come back on friday.
So many environmental initiatives on campus that they only had time to see a few. The green roof is very close to our housing. Remind me and I'll point you toward it when you're on campus on Friday.
